GE Jenbacher Establishes Distribution in Indonesia
With Indonesia seeking to increase its production of natural gas-generated power, GE Energy has selected PT. Navigat Innovative Indonesia as a distribution and service provider in Indonesia for GE’s line of Jenbacher gas engines.
The agreement with Jakarta-based PT. Navigat covers the marketing, sales and after-sales service of the Jenbacher portfolio of reciprocating engines, packaged generator sets and cogeneration units. Jenbacher engines run on natural gas and various “specialty gases” created from biomass, landfills, coal mines, sewage and industrial wastes.
PT. Navigat, a leading Southeast Asian energy systems and solutions provider, has sales offices in Indonesia’s capital of Jakarta; in the city of Bandung, 180 kilometers southeast of Jakarta; and in Singapore (Navigat Innovative International Pt. Ltd.). PT. Navigat’s service workshop is located in Pulo Gadung, Jakarta, which allows the company to provide prompt, effective customer service throughout Indonesia.
Since March 2004, 12 Jenbacher engines have been ordered by Indonesian customers; three of them are already installed.
