Nuclear Power Plant Will Receive New Generator From Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas Inc. has received a multi-million dollar contract from Constellation Energy Nuclear Group LLC (CENG) to replace the 750 MVA generator at the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in Ontario, New York, U.S.A.

Mitsubishi will install the new electrical generator and excitation system including related auxiliaries during a planned refueling and maintenance outage in 2014. The generator replacement is part of a US$50 million (€34.4 million) generation reliability enhancement program by CENG.
