Cummins Reorganizes Commercial Marine Business
Company names new strategic growth specialists
Cummins Inc. has reorganized its Commercial Marine Business around five customer-focused market segments: commercial transport; offshore oil and gas; passenger transport; government/defense; and special use (fishing). As part of the reorganization, Cummins has named Greg Young director of Strategic Growth – Commercial Transport and Waldemar Marchetti director of Strategic Growth – Offshore.
Young is responsible for leading strategic direction and growth efforts for commercial transport in the European and North American markets. Young, who has been with Cummins for more than 30 years, most recently served as the director of Strategy, OEM and Business Development for Cummins Westport.
He has held a variety of roles within the company, including European Technical Operations, Automotive Sales, European and African Distribution Management, Quality Champion. He is located in Daventry, U.K. and reports to Jenny Bush, general manager for the Commercial Marine Business.
Marchetti’s new role means he leads growth efforts for the offshore market in the commercial marine industry. Marchetti served as the Marine Sales and Marketing director in Latin American for the last six years. Marchetti has been with Cummins for almost nine years, previously supporting the distributor channel and several international OEMs. He will continue to be based in São Paolo, Brazil, and also report to Bush.
