Turkish Power Company Enerjisa Signs Six-Year Pact

Posted on December 28, 2009

Enerjisa Power Generation Comapny, a Turkish energy company, has signed a six-year service agreement with GE, covering three power plants that produce enough electricity to meet the requirements of 50,000 customers. The new agreement is an extension of an earlier contractual service agreement (CSA) signed in 2004.

The agreement includes plant availability and performance guarantees for power plants in Adana, Mersin and Canakkale, Turkey and have a total output of 250 MW. The agreement features a planned/unplanned maintenance schedule for all three plant sites to help ensure six years of continuous, high-capacity production and avoid unexpected power outages, other losses and expenses. A reliable, sustainable enery supply is critical to support Turkey's rapid economic growth.

GE's CSAs cover the supply of parts, repairs and field services for planned and unplanned outages for gas turbine generators and accessory equipment, along with performance guarantees. These agreements are structured to provide customers with predictable maintenance costs while ensuring steady revenue from power plant operations. GE has long term service agreements including CSAs in place at more than 600 sites worldwide.
