Papers related to the development, advancement and improved understanding of the internal combustion engine are sought for the ASME Internal Combustion Engine Division’s 2012 Fall Technical Conference. The conference, hosted by Westport Innovations, Inc., will be held Sept. 23-26, 2012 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In addition to two days of technical presentations of accepted papers, the conference highlights networking activities among members of industry, government and academia. It also features keynote speakers, student presentations, industrial tours, a banquet, and an collegial atmosphere.

Accepted papers are generally grouped into one of seven technical tracks, which include large bore engines; fuels; advanced combustion; emission control systems; instrumentation, controls and hybrids; numerical simulation; and engine design, lubrication and applications. Accepted papers that are presented will be archived on the conference proceedings CD.

Two types of papers may be submitted: archival-type research articles and engineering application articles. Those interested should submit their 400-word or less paper abstract by Friday, Jan. 20 at the conference website: www.asmeconferences.org/ICEF2012.
