Rolls-Royce Power Plants for India
Rolls-Royce has secured two new orders for its latest gas engines from major manufacturers of high-quality textiles in India. The first order for a 6.7 MW, 16-cylinder Rolls-Royce B-gas engine power plant is from Welspun Terry Towels of Vapi in Gujarat. The engine will be used to provide power for a plant capacity increase. Two more engines will be supplied to Arvind Mills Ltd which has seven manufacturing units in and around Ahmedabad, The engines will be installed in captive power plants and include a 12-cylinder B-gas engine at Arvind Intex will supply 5.1 MW while an 18-cylinder K-gas unit at Arvind Cotsyn will generate 3.06 MW.
