Siemens Delivers Turbomachinery

Posted on February 24, 2005

Siemens Power Generation (PG) will provide three turbocompressors to the Vuktylkskaya compressor station on the SRTO-Torzhok gas pipeline in Russia. This pipeline will be connected to the Yamal pipeline and is part of the distribution system to Western Europe. Each compressor train consists of an STC-SV (formerly called 12MV2A) turbocompressor, driven by an SGT-600 (formerly called GT10B) mechanical drive turbine. The order is almost identical to the one taken in 2003 for nearby Ukhtinskaya, the next station down the line. Commercial operation is scheduled for the spring of 2006. Including this order, Siemens PG has supplied 25 gas turbine compressor strings to compressor stations along the Yamal Pipeline in Russia, Poland and Germany.
