New CSA for GE Energy

Posted on February 23, 2006

GE Energy signed a 22-year, contractual service agreement (CSA) with Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Company Limited (RGCO) to provide services for RGCO’s power plant in Ratchaburi province, Thailand. GE Energy’s recently opened office in central Bangkok is now the company’s contractual service headquarters for the Asia Pacific region.

The CSA with RGCO covers six of GE’s Frame 9FA gas turbines, steam turbines and generators at the Ratchaburi combined-cycle plant, which has a total capacity of approximately 2100 MW. The power is being produced for the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. The scope of the CSA includes maintenance activities, high-technology parts, uprates and plant performance guarantees for the life of the agreement.
