New CEO At Siemens Corporation

Siemens has announced that Eric Spiegel has been named president and CEO of Siemens Corporation. Spiegel was previously senior vice president and senior partner at Booz & Co. and brings more than 25 years of experience in energy, manufacturing and utility industries.

Based in Washington, D.C., U.S.A., Spiegel will further serve as a strong voice on policy issues that affect Siemens and its customers, and drive the company's business and efforts in sustainability and green technologies. He is co-author of the book, "Energy Shift: Game-changing Options for Fueling the Future," and is a well-known thought leader and advisor in the energy sector.

With roughy 64,000 employees in the U.S., Siemens Corporation is the regional U.S. arm of Siemens AG. Latest figures indicate that Siemens Corp. generated revenues of US$22.5 billion, or nearly one-fifth of Siemens' total revenue.
