APR Energy extends Libyan power contract

Posted on January 13, 2014

APR Energy, a global fast-track power solution provider, has extended its 200 MW diesel power module project in Libya on the same terms as the original contract.

The provision of the 200 MW of diesel power modules, announced in June 2013 as an expansion to APR Energy’s 250 MW gas turbine contract in Libya, created the largest single contract in the history of the fast-track power industry, the company said.

The combined 450 MW power solution provides the Libyan people with interim power while the country continues to rebuild and improve its infrastructure. The 250 MW gas turbine project is not due for renewal until summer 2014.
