MTU Onsite Energy and Sawary Energy have signed a distribution agreement for the local company to market products bearing the Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG brand MTU Onsite Energy in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement spotlights marketing rights for 60-Hz diesel generators producing up to 3250 kVA, and includes a service agreement for MTU and Detroit Diesel engines for land-based applications in the oil and gas, mining and rail sectors.

Sawary Energy will cover the increased demand for emergency, continuous and peak power in the Saudi Arabian marketplace by offering a range including MTU Series 1600, 2000 and 4000 engines as well as MTU Onsite Energy brand diesel gen-sets for distributed power generation, the company said.

Sawary Energy has locations in Riyadh, Jeddah and the Eastern Region and has primarily marketed diesel generators since 1975.
