Posted on July 25, 2011

Vulkan Group has established a new subsidiary in Istanbul, Turkey – Vulkan Turkey Mühendislik, Denizcilik ve San.Ürünleri Tic.Ltd.Sti.

Having been represented by a Turkish distributor for many years, Vulkan said it will now strengthen its sales activities in the region. The company said it is reacting to Turkey’s economic growth and developments in the country’s shipbuilding industry.

According to Vulkan, an enormous increase in the order book since 2008 has made Turkey among the top 10 of the world’s shipbuilding nations with a large number of small and medium-sized shipyards.

The Turkish Vulkan base will sell Vulkan Couplings products, such as flexible couplings, composite shafts, elastic mounts and dampers for ship propulsion and generators and also the Vulkan Lokring solder-free tube connection technology for refrigerant lines. The new managing director of Vulkan Turkey is Kagan Hasircioglu.
