Kraft Power, a distributor and service provider for industrial engines, power generation systems and heavy-duty transmission equipment, has been appointed an approved Waukesha provider for GE’s Waukesha gas engines group, a segment of GE Power and Water’s Distributed Power business.

Kraft Power will provide authorized Waukesha gas engine warranty service, overhauls and remanufactured engines, and the complete range of Genuine Waukesha service parts, the company said.

Waukesha gas engines are designed to operate within a wide range of fuels including natural gas, wellhead gas and biogas, and are designed for use in gas compression, power generation and mechanical drive applications, GE said.

Kraft said it currently operates five distribution and service facilities within the central and north eastern U.S. regions. As an approved provider, the company will be able to provide enhanced services to its installed population of Waukesha gas engines for the rapidly growing number of these engines operating on gas compressors in the Marcellus, Utica and Antrim shale plays.
