New Contracts for Wood Group

Posted on June 15, 2005

Wood Group has won two new contracts in the United States and Colombia. Wood Group Integrated Plant Solutions, Inc. has secured a long-term gas turbine maintenance contract for a 565 MW facility owned and operated by Interstate Power and Light Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation.

The work involves providing packaged maintenance services over two maintenance cycles, including component repair, spare parts supply, onsite services and technical risk management, for two GE Frame 7FA+e gas turbines operated at IPL's Emery Generating Station in Clear Lake, Iowa, U.S.A. This is WG IPS' first 7FA contract.

Wood Group Power Solutions, Inc. has also won a multi-million dollar turnkey contract to expand the power plant operated by Drummond Ltd at the Pribbenow Coal Mine in northern Colombia.

Under the contract, WGPS, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.A, will design, procure, install and commission two General Electric LM6000 gas turbine generators. This contract follows the supply and installation by WGPS in 2004 of Drummond's existing power plant at Pribbenow that supports the company's coal mining activities.
