Centrax Expands Range With Siemens Gas Turbines

U.K.-based Centrax Gas Turbines has expanded its range of power generation products.

In an agreement with Siemens it will package two Siemens gas turbines product ranges. The SGT-300 and SGT-400 units, which will be packaged at the Centrax plant in Newton Abbot, England.

Centrax will initially market the packages for the industrial power generation and cogeneration markets in the U.K., France, Italy, The Netherlands and Belgium. The two Siemens turbines are sized between 8 and 15 MWe and will add to the Centrax gas turbine powered generator sets which range from 2.5 MW to 64 MW.

Director of Gas Turbines Guy West described the packaging tie-up with Siemens as a landmark event for the company. “The SGT-300 and SGT-400 are very competitive engines, with excellent emissions technology. They complement our existing product range superbly giving potential customers one of the widest choices in Europe”.
