Posted on June 28, 2011

The North American subsidiary of MWM from Mannheim, Germany, received an order for four engines for two biogas plants for the Exergy Group in Idaho, U.S.A. MWM will supply the engines and provide maintenance for the two biogas plants of Exergy New Energy, the biogas division of Exergy. Two sets of two 800 kW generator sets of the TCG2016C V16 engine series will generate energy for the Idaho-based plants.

Exergy New Energy has bioenergy technology designed to convert organic waste into electricity, heat and fuel. The bioenergy technology is also used to resolve waste management issues in the fields of animal husbandry, agriculture and municipal and industrial waste use, the company said.

MWM manufactures gas-powered generators that contain gas engines known for efficiency and low maintenance.
