Wood Group Powering Up Peru Power Plant

Wood Group GTS has received a US$11 million (€7.7 million) multi-year contract with Empresa de Generacion Electrica de Arequipa, S.A. (EGASA) to supply parts for two General Electric MS6001B gas turbines at the 71 MW power plant "Central Termica Pisco", in Pisco Province, Peru.

Wood will provide Frame 6B combustion and hot gas path capital parts. The contract includes the provision of operational and critical spares, along with the repair of capital parts. To support this contract, Wood said it will use its advanced parts manufacturing program to supply the major capital parts. EGASA is an electric generating company in southern Peru.
