Wood Group GTS awarded maintenance services on multiple steam turbines
Wood Group GTS has completed two steam turbine major inspections and received awards for three additional steam turbine outages from five U.S. power plants. The cumulative US$4.2 million in services are scheduled to be completed in the first half of this year, the company said.
A steam turbine outage requires thorough component inspections, expedited repairs and a detailed project plan that incorporates the ability to replace damaged parts within the scheduled outage window. Wood Group said it provides a single point of contact to manage the project, a core team of skilled technical specialists and inspectors, mobile tooling containers and the necessary on-site consumable kits.
