Posted on March 15, 2009

Rolls-Royce has enhanced its global customer support capability with a new Marine service center in Galveston, Texas, U.S.A.

Encompassing 40,000 square feet, the new Rolls-Royce Commercial Marine service center at Galveston will provide repair and overhaul expertise for customers throughout the Gulf of Mexico region. Rolls-Royce invested in this location at the Port of Galveston, one of the busiest ports in the Gulf of Mexico, to respond to a growing customer base and demand in the region. The facility will support the Group’s entire portfolio of marine products. The site is expected to be operational in April of this year and once complete, will facilitate an increase in the number of Rolls-Royce personnel in the Gulf of Mexico region.

The global Marine services network is dedicated to maximizing the operational capability of customer vessels and helping customers control their cost of ownership. Headquartered in Singapore, the network now includes facilities in 32 countries and employs more than 1000 support staff, engineers and technicians around the world.
