Ansaldo Energia, a Finmeccanica group company, signed a contract with Cairo Electricity Production Co., which forms part of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Co. for the engineering, procurement and construction of a turnkey power plant.
The 600 MW open-cycle power plant will be located at a site called “6 October” on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt.
The plant will comprise four AE94.2 gas turbines in addition to generators and auxiliary systems.
