Propulsion Shafting Issues: A Survey

The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) M-16 Panel “Modernization of Propulsion Shafting Systems” is conducting a survey to present and analyze experiences and data from ship operators. The survey is being conducted to identify any issues relating to propulsion shafting, propellers, bearings, couplings, seals, and alignment. Results of the survey will be published by the Society to assist the marine community in identifying areas for further research.
