Posted on May 26, 2010

GE has signed a corporate procurement agreement with Saudi Aramco to establish a long-term deal for the supply of GE turbomachinery equipment and services to support the production of oil and gas in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was developed to streamline and simplify the working processes, which will reduce costs and create shorter cycle times for Saudi Aramco’s projects, according to GE.

The agreement also includes a joint technology development program that builds on GE’s turbomachinery technolgoy and includes cooperation on initiatives to improve the performance of Saudi Aramco’s fleet of equipment. That equipment consists of more than 60 gas turbines, 90 compressors and more than 100 pumps.
