MAN Diesel & Turbo Starts Second Phase For New Plant
MAN Diesel & Turbo has started the second phase of construction at its plant in Changzhou, China, about 180 km northwest of Shanghai. The new buildings will double the plant’s hall size to 20 000 m².
Turbochargers for large-bore diesel engines will now be manufactured in Changzhou alongside existing turbomachinery products. MAN subsidiary Renk will also start assembling slide bearings at the Changzhou site. The number of employees at the site will increase from 250 to 400, according to MAN Diesel & Turbo.
