Rolls-Royce Gas Turbines Activated At Belgium Power Plant
Two of Rolls-Royce’s Trent 60 gas turbines have entered service at the new EDF Luminus power plant at Angleur in the city of Liége, Belgium.
The Trent 60 turbines, each capable of producing 64 MW, can start up in nine minutes, helping the plant provide continuous power to households and businesses in the city during peak demand periods.
The gas turbines can operate on either liquid or gas fuel. They feature wet low emissions (WLE) and inlet spray inter-cooling (ISI) technologies to reduce emissions and maintain maximum power output over a range of temperatures.
