PrintMTU Friedrichshafen Holds 3rd Rail Symposium

Tognum subsidiary, MTU Friedrichshafen, held its 3rd Rail Symposium recently. The aim of the event is to look into the future of diesel engines for rail vehicles and also, discuss the latest technological developments at MTU.
More than 100 specialists representing vehicle manufacturers, rail operators and associations attended the event. Further development of the current 4000 series, the future Series 1600 and after-sales and logistics support services were topics of discussion. In addition, MTU's locomotive starter system, CaPoS (Capacitor Starter System) was highlighted during this event.
