Wärtsilä, which provides lifecycle power products for the marine and energy markets, and United Shipbuilding Corp. (Sudoexport), a Russian shipbuilder, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The two parties plan to mutually develop modern ship designs and manufacture propulsion systems.
The partnership is designed to combine the expertise of both companies to meet their customers’ demands in building modern and efficient vessels, Wärtsilä said.
