Siemens completes turnkey construction, hands over power plant to Termochilca SAC
Siemens Energy has commissioned the Santo Domingo de los Olleros simple-cycle power plant in Peru after only 19 months of construction. The 200 MW natural gas-fueled power generation plant will begin service in a simple-cycle mode with an option for a combined-cycle plant in the next phase.
The main equipment supplied by Siemens includes an SGT6-5000F gas turbine, a model SGEN6-1000A generator, and the entire electrical and SPPA-T3000 instrumentation and control equipment.
The Santo Domingo de los Olleros plant is located in the Chilca district in Cañete province, 60 km south of the capital, Lima. Siemens has been responsible for full turnkey supply of the plant, which includes engineering, procurement and construction, and will continue to service the plant with a long-term service agreement (LTSA).
