Posted on September 15, 2010

The merger of MAN Diesel North America Inc. and MAN Turbo Inc. USA has been completed, forming MAN Diesel & Turbo North America Inc. This decision will allow the MAN Group to combine the engine and power plant experience of MAN Diesel with the compressor and turbine technology of its former sister company, MAN Turbo, to sustainably form a strategic business area “Power Engineering.”

The combined organization will be led by Poul Korsgaard and Peter Roth, who have been named Co-Presidents. Poul Korsgaard will continue as President for all Diesel related business in North America and Peter Roth will head the region’s Turbomachinery business.

MAN Diesel & Turbo’s structure will be comprised of four main strategic business units. The first one being Engines & Marine Systems, which stems mainly from the MAN Diesel side of business. The second strategic business unit is Turbomachinery, which encompasses two main market-oriented business units: Process Industry and Oil & Gas. The last two business units are Power Plants and After Sales.

MAN Diesel & Turbo’s After Sales is a worldwide network consisting of a number of services and support partners. Prior to the merger, both MAN Diesel and MAN Turbo operated under the PrimeServ concept as MAN Diesel PrimeServ and MAN Turbo PrimeServ. With the merger, all locations will continue using the PrimeServ concept but now operate under one brand and logo, MAN PrimeServ.
