Voith Turbo Introduces Two New Products
Voith Turbo has two new products available, a new waste heat recuperation system designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions and a coupling designed to minimize vibrations when sailing.
The recuperation system, the Voith SteamTrac, is designed to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emission between 4 and 12%, according to the company. The SteamTrac is suitable for smaller marine and industrial applications, as well as in rail vehicles.
The new coupling not only reduces vibrations, but it’s also designed to withstand thermal destruction, even if it operates at full load, due to high torsional vibration amplitudes. The coupling was designed to help prevent excessive noise and driveline breakdowns, according to the company.
