Tognum Gains MTU Foothold in India
The Tognum Group recently held a formal ceremony in the Indian City of Pune to celebrate the opening of a new head office for their subsidiary, MTU India. MTU India's new business unit will work in the field of engine development; the Tognum Group said it is pursuing its global strategy not only in production and purchasing operations, but in engine development too.
Over 100 guests from business and government agencies were welcomed to an inauguration ceremony by Satish Phadke, head of MTU India. The new site spans 3600 square meters and besides office space, includes a logistics center, training center and workshop.
MTU India has other offices in New Delhi, Bangalore, Singrauli and Korba. The new facility at Pune will provide one stop service solution to its customers, reports the company. Further expansion of the sales and service network to support business is already planned for 2010.
