Loading Up Through Acquisition
Avtron LoadBank has announced the acquisition of N.J. Froment, a Stamford, U.K., designer and manufacturer of load banks and other testing systems for the diesel generator, gas turbine generator, power supply, and agricultural machinery industries. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“N.J. Froment has a strong reputation for innovative, high-quality equipment, and their product range will complement Avtron’s very well” said John Bertram - VP of Avtron LoadBank. “We will be able to offer Avtron and Froment customers a broader range of products, as well as service from our plant in the U.S. and the Froment plant in the U.K., which will be retained.”
N.J. Froment maintains an extensive portfolio of power supply testing systems, including load banks, data acquisition systems, controls and monitoring systems.
Avtron LoadBank manufactures resistive and reactive load banks, neutral grounding resistors and industrial power resistors. Its products are used for factory testing, commissioning, service, and periodic exercising of standby emergency power systems, which include diesel generator sets, gas turbine generators, UPS systems and back-up battery systems. It is part of Avtron Holdings, LLC, a portfolio company of Morgenthaler Private Equity.
