GE, Bharat Heavy Electrical Sign 10-Year Agreement
GE has signed a 10-year agreement with Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd. (BHEL) of India. BHEL’s production site in Hyderabad, India, will manufacture GE’s centrifugal compressors under license, allowing the company to sell them in India and other South Asian territories.
The compressors are valuable to infrastructure development projects, such as oil and gas production and transportation, refinery and petrochemical industry applications and fuel gas boosting, said GE. The licensing agreement covers several models of horizontally and vertically split, pipeline and integrally gear compressors.
BEHL has previously worked with GE in manufacturing and selling GE gas turbines for power and water applications.
