Dresser Waukesha Adds New Engine To 275GL Series

Dresser Waukesha, a manufacturer of natural gas engines, has added a fourth model to its 275GL Series of gas compression engines. Its new 12-cylinder 12V275GL+, like its 16-cylinder counterpart, is a high performance model with low nitrogen oxide capability, said the company.

The engine is equipped with a NOx sensor that directly measures NOx in the exhaust stream enabling real-time, closed loop control of the air/fuel ratio, the company said. With its low emissions capability, the engine meets the current 0.5g/bhp-hr NOx requirement for non-attainment areas.

The engine is rated at 2703 kW at 1000 rpm, and operates at full load with no drawbacks at higher altitudes, the company said. It also features a hydroelastic damper that reduces service costs by eliminating the need for damper fluid sampling.
