Ansaldo Energia Wins Contract In Germany

Ansaldo Energia has been awarded contracts for the design, supply, installation and servicing of an open-cycle power
plant with installed power of 300 MW in Marbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
The “Marbach 4” plant will be equipped with an AE94.3A gas turbine, the related generator and the
auxiliary systems. The plant will be operational by October 2022.
The total value of the EPC and LTSA contracts amounts to over €100 million and the customer is
EnBW – Energie Baden-Württemberg AG based in Karlsruhe.
The contract is part of the German TSO project “besondere netztechnische Betriebsmittel – bnBm”
(network reserve project), with tenders issued in four areas of Southern Germany.
Ansaldo Energia, which has already been awarded an EPC contract for the Irsching power plant in
Southern Bavaria as part of this project, confirms its presence in Germany with these new orders and is proud
to support EnBW AG in its efforts to provide reliable electricity and a stable grid in the framework of massive
and constantly growing use of renewable energy.
