Basler Promotes Two Executives
10 September 2018
Basler Electric Co., a manufacturer of products for the power industry, promoted Ken Rhodes to executive vice president and Tom Harnetiaux to vice president of Sales and Marketing.
Rhodes joined Basler Electric in 1983, holding various positions in the Engineering and Purchasing departments. In 2006, he held the position of director of Supply Chain before being promoted to sales manager for the Power Systems Group. A year later, he went on to become the director of Sales for all product groups. In 2011, Rhodes was promoted to vice president of Sales. In his new role, as executive vice president, Rhodes will oversee the Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments. He will also manage E2 Power Systems LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Basler Electric Co., as well as Basler’s facilities located in Suzhou, China and Singapore.
Harnetiaux joined Basler Electric in 2011 as a market segment manager for Power Generation. Before joining Basler, Harnetiaux was senior marketing analyst with a leading display and scoreboard solutions manufacturer. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a master’s of Business Administration from McKendree University. In 2014, Harnetiaux was promoted to director of Global Sales and then to vice president of Marketing in early 2018. As vice president of Sales and Marketing, Harnetiaux is responsible for developing and growing Basler’s presence in the worldwide marketplace.
“Ken and Tom embody the ideals our company strives for every day. They are passionate leaders who are determined to consistently exceed our customer’s expectations and are committed to doing so with the highest degree of integrity”, said Gary Dolbeare, president and CEO. “These promotions show Basler’s unwavering commitment to these principles as we move forward.”
