MAN Engines will display its most powerful 12-cylinder engine yet at the Cannes Yachting Festive 2022. The V12X boasts a 30-liter displacement and 2200 hp at 2300 rpm.

“The MAN V12X marks the start of the next generation of yacht engines. We are acknowledging this milestone in engine technology with the new name V12X and giving the distinctive engine cover an X design,” said Werner Kübler, head of engineering, MAN Engines.

“The redesign of the MAN V12X is accompanied by extra displacement for shipyards,” he continued. “As always, we have retained the excellent power-to-weight ratio that MAN engines are known for.”

The engine will be presented at he Cannes Yachting Festive 2022, taking place September 6 to 11, in the French Riviera port community.
