Medium-Speed Engines ‘Here To Stay’: Fairbanks Morse CEO

By Jack Burke08 July 2020

The next issue of Diesel & Gas Turbine Worldwide magazine includes a question-and-answer feature with George Whittier, who was named CEO of Fairbanks Morse in January. Whittier ran the Fairbanks Morse division from 2009 to 2012 and returned to the company after leadership positions at Precision Castparts Corp., Regal Beloit and the Morey Corp. But – for the work we do, the applications we manage – in order to have the guaranteed reliability that is 100% required – I think medium-speed engines are here to stay.”
