Miratech Acquires German Emissions Company

By Jack Burke08 July 2019

Miratech said it has acquired German emissions company Air-Sonic GmbH, a maker of catalysts, silencers and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems for stationary gas-fired engines.

Ernst and Gabriele Walter, founders and managing directors of Air-Sonic, will continue to lead the company under the Miratech umbrella to provide for continued leadership and experience, the company said.

Miratech said the acquisition provides its global accounts with local manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and technical support in the EU consistent with what they expect in North America.

Miratech said its vertical integration of catalyst supply, SCR designs, and complete aftertreatment systems along with Air-Sonic’s broad customer base established through the years will now provide even more advanced system solutions for acoustics and emissions customers throughout the EU and Middle East through its German office.

Miratech’s catalyst service centers come with extensive catalyst inventory, washing, testing and reclaim-recycling services. Air-Sonic and Miratech’s existing customers will enjoy the new Sinntal, Germany, catalyst service center, marking Miratech’s seventh location and the first in the EU.
