New Single-Phase Motor

Single Phase Power Solutions said its new 100 HP Belle single-phase motor is compatible with readily-available single-phase utility services and is designed for powering equipment including pumps, compressors, injection wells, blowers, fans and other equipment typically found in industrial, municipal, agricultural, mining and oil & gas installations.
The utility-friendly starting and operating characteristics provided through the use of Written-Pole technology minimize voltage sags and flicker on long single-phase distribution lines, the company said. The motor is designed for use for industrial applications in areas where three-phase power is not readily available or cost-effective and does need for phase converters or complex variable frequency drive installations.
The totally-enclosed fan-cooled design incorporates a cast iron frame and is suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. Rated as a 100 hp, 460 v, 1800 rpm electric motor, the design delivers 95.5% efficiency at rated load with a near-unity power factor, the company said.
