New Sulzer S.A. Service Head

Sulzer, a worldwide, independent service provider for repair and maintenance of rotating machines including turbomachinery, pumps and electromechanical equipment, announced that Marcelo Alves has been named president of Rotating Equipment Services in South America.

Alves has more than 25 years of experience in delivering engineering solutions to a wide variety of industries, including stints at Flowserve, Ingersoll Dresser and Worthington.

“Sulzer’s organization in South America and around the world has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, independent maintenance services,” said Alves. “With a comprehensive range of solutions for motors, generators, turbines and pumps, Sulzer supports customers by improving the performance, efficiency and reliability of equipment.”
