Cummins Power is reporting that Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., one of the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world, will use its generator sets for Huawei’s first data center project in Turkey.

Cummins, which is the global diesel generator supplier of Huawei, supplied four C2500D5A generator sets with custom-built enclosures for the data center in Esenyurt, İstanbul. Also supplied were the main fuel tanks, fuel supply control system and fire extinguishing system. Cummins Turkey provided full mechanical installation, commissioning and load bank testing.

“We have answered all technical questions from the customer, along with providing the technical support on drawings and preparation of the foundation. This collaborative attitude affected our customer and founded a good, reliable business relationship,” said Ozan Kir, Cummins Turkey project engineer.

Huawei is a new customer for Cummins Turkey, but Cummins said it has maintained a global supplier status with the top telecom firm since 2008. Most recently, Cummins achieved highest honors as a Gold Medal Partner.
