RWG Wins Overhaul Contract

By Jack Burke26 July 2017

Botas Petroleum Pipeline Co. has awarded RWG a contract for the overhaul of three Siemens Industrial Avon aero-derivative gas generators. This equipment, located at Kirklareli Compressor Station, provides mechanical drive capacity for natural gas compression, helping to maintain the reliability of Turkey’s gas transmission network.

RWG is a Siemens and Wood Group company formed in 1990 that does maintenance, repair and overhaul of Siemens industrial aero-derivative gas generators and power turbines.

Under this latest contract, RWG will complete major overhaul of each gas generator, including full disassembly, cleaning, inspection, overhaul and performance test in accordance with OEM criteria. In addition, RWG will restore unserviceable components within our in-house OEM-approved component repair facility, mitigating the requirement to install new replacement parts. The contract for overhaul will be completed during 2017, including field service support for installation and re-commissioning of each gas generator at the Kirklareli site.

Botas has a fleet of five Industrial Avon gas generators in operation at Kirkareli Compressor Station, in addition to two SGT-A30 RB (Industrial RB211) gas generators located at Kirsehir Compressor Station in Turkey. RWG offers comprehensive maintenance support for all this equipment including, field repairs, gas generator overhauls, exchange, installation, re-commissioning and technical support.
