ABB Wins Substation Order For Indian Rail Network
ABB received an order from the Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Co. Ltd. for a turnkey substation and transformers. The new four x 250 MW Nabinager thermal power plant is being built to meet the increased power requirements of the rail networks in eastern and central India. ABB will be responsible for the construction of a 400/132 kV substation to connect the newly established Nabinagar plant to the railway network.
The substation was designed with nine 400 kV bays and seven 132 kV bays and ABB will supply 16 low-loss transformers of various ratings.
