Posted on April 16, 2010

The project to expand the Paiton Thermal Power Station in East Java, Indonesia, will launch full-scale construction following the signing of a loan agreement. For the project, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, received an order for an 815 MW supercritical-pressure coal-fired power generation plant.

The plant, which will be delivered to PT Paiton Energy, and independent power producer, was jointly established by companies in Japan, the U.K. and Indonesia. It is aimed at relieving the region's tight energy supply.
