Woodward To Present Control Seminars

Woodward Governor Co. has scheduled two technical seminars on June 15 and 16, 2010 at the Hilton Houston Hobby Airport hotel in Houston, Texas, U.S.A.

On June 15, the featured topic will be “Introduction to power generation, control and power management.” It will focus on the principals of distributed power generation, synchronization, load sharing, power management and system protection. David Cutro, application engineer at Woodward Electrical Power Systems will serve as the seminars instructor.

On June 16, Rich Kamphaus, turbomachinery controls product line manager at Woodward Turbine Systems, will lead a seminar on “Steam turbine, gas turbine and compressor basics.” It will cover the fundamentals, applications, control and protection of steam and gas turbines and compressors and a discussion on American Petroleum Institute Standard 612.
