The new training center, in Cartagena, Spain, is prepared for different applications like naval, commercial marine, yachts, power generation and provides training for customers, technicians and service dealers of MTU and Navantia.

The new training center, in Cartagena, Spain, is prepared for different applications like naval, commercial marine, yachts, power generation and provides training for customers, technicians and service dealers of MTU and Navantia.

MTU Ibérica, a subsidiary of the German propulsion specialist MTU Friedrichshafen, and Navantia, a Spanish shipbuilder, opened a common training center in Cartagena, Spain as part of a strategic long-term cooperation between both companies.

Navantia has chosen MTU for its ships’ propulsion systems. The training center is designed for different applications like naval, commercial marine, yachts, power generation.

It also provides training for customers, technicians and service dealers of MTU and Navantia on maintaining and operating diesel engines and electronic monitoring and control systems. The center is integrated into MTU’s worldwide service network, which includes several training facilities.
