Wood Group GTS received an order extension for a power plant in Thailand.  Wood Group GTS, GDF SUEZ Glow Energy Public Co. Ltd. and Glow SPP11 Co. Ltd. (formerly known as Thai National Power Co., Ltd.) have extended a term maintenance agreement signed in 2004 to include two additional GE Frame 6B gas turbines at Glow SPP11 Co.’s SPP11 plant in Rayong.

This US$20 million extension brings the number of GE Frame 6B gas turbines under contract to 16, with an estimated remaining term of 13 years, expiring in 2025. Work includes planned and unplanned maintenance services, component repair and supply of new capital parts, performance guarantees, and project management.

Also included is the installation of Wood Group GTS’ EcoValue compressor water wash technology. Similar systems installed by Wood Group GTS within the region have improved turbine performance and increased power output resulting in US$1 million in additional annual revenue, Wood Group said.
