Shanghai Tonghua Gas Turbine Services Co. Ltd. has signed a contractual service agreement (CSA) with GE Energy covering nine GE Frame 9FA gas turbines being installed at four new, advanced technology combined-cycle power plants in China. The agreement covers maintenance services for more than 11 years for all major outages at the power plants.

With this latest agreement, GE is committed to providing a range of services and support for 11 of the GE Frame 9FA gas turbines that are part of China's Gas Turbine Power Plants Construction Project Phase 1. The contract will cover power plants operated by Hangzhou Huadian Banshan Power Generation Co. Ltd., Zhangjiagang Huaxing Electric Power Co. Ltd., Jiangsu Huadian Qishuyan Electric Power Co. Ltd. and Jiangsu Huadian Wangting Natural Gas Power Generation, Ltd.

China Huadian Corporation, one of the largest power generation companies in China, is the major shareholder for the Banshan, Qishuyan and Wangting plants; China National Technical Import & Export Corporation (CNTIC), one of the largest trading and commercial agents in China, is a major shareholder of Shanghai Tonghua.

GE-HPEC-NTC Energy Services Co. Ltd. of QingHuangDao City, one of five joint ventures GE Energy has established in the country, will support the CSAs with repair and field services. Another GE joint venture in China, GE-Liming Energy Parts Co. Ltd., will manufacture and supply most of the capital parts.
