Siemens Hits 1000th Milestone
Company delivers SST-300 turbine to Guarani
Siemens has delivered its 1000th steam turbine, which was produced in Jundiaí, São Paulo, Brazil, home to one of seven Siemens industrial steam turbine production facilities worldwide.
Guarani, a Brazilian company in the sugar and ethanol industries, ordered the model SST-300 turbine.
Over the last five years Jundiaí has tripled its production output through expansion and upgrading of its manufacturing facilities, Siemens said. The site has been producing industrial steam turbines since 2006, as well as providing other services, such as maintenance and repair work.
The SST-300 turbine enhances the overall efficiency of the thermodynamic cycle and increases electricity output with the same amount of fuel, Siemens said.
