Turbine sets to supply district heating for Kirov, Moscow
U.K. power-generation packaging company Centrax has sold two 5.2 MW CX501-KB7 gas turbine sets to Russia’s General Energy Solutions (GES). The units will be used for district heating plants in Kirov and Moscow.
Maintenance support for the packages will be managed by the Centrax Russian service center, while GES will remotely monitor the technical and economic performance of the sets.
The first generator set will power a district heating plant on the eastern outskirts of Moscow, serving the rapid growth of the city while also replacing the old heating plant. The second unit is to be used at a district heating plant in Kirov, 800 km northeast of Moscow.
